“Colin must have done over 30 posters for Odéon artists and frequently American counterparts of Odéon, such as Columbia, would use the same poster design... In fact, Colin claims to be the first artist to have created a poster for records... This poster is quite different from the others, for it seems to promote the Odéon library rather than any single artist and it does so in a playful manner, using the image of a clown, a popular enough symbol for Frenchmen at that time” (Colin, p. 9).
