Oh, Betty Spell, you certainly look like you were a charmer. It’s too bad history didn’t see fit to register more of your accomplishments. Apart from the fact that she made a few records for Columbia and appeared in several inconsequential French films between 1930 and 1954, little is known of the bewitching Ms. Spell. However, thanks to Colin, she has achieved this small slice of immortality, set down forever as a vivacious, leggy brunette with a receptive disposition.
