The popular French accordionist Gus Viseur was a good friend of Paul Colin, and in this advertisement for eight of his 78-rpm records on the Columbia label, we get an image of the artist with minimal detail. The delicacy of the design is what gives it its intensity, with Colin juxtaposing the white silhouette of the musician against the stark black background and bright instrument. This is the small format version of the poster.
