This grisly image announces the play The Garden of Torture at the Théâtre St. Georges. The plot follows a French doctor involved in a dirty practice which gets him extradited to China. There, he falls in love with a young woman who leads him to a mysterious garden where he learns that she enjoys watching slaves being tortured.
