Colin dispenses with his more typical multifaceted promotional style in order to deliver this straightforward portrait of Blanche Montel (1902-1998) in the role of Constance Bonacieux, a role that she would assume in both of the French-released “Three Musketeers” films of 1932. Colin executed several posters for the film, which was the first sound version of the Alexandre Dumas swashbuckling classic.
