The famous novel of Victor Hugo has been seen on film, in one interpretation or another, more than twenty times since 1907. Potentially the most ambitious was that directed by Raymond Bernard and starring Harry Baur in the title role of Jean Valjean. In its original version, it consisted of three parts with a total running time of five hours and fifteen minutes. For each of the parts, Colin created a one-sheet and a two-sheet poster; this is the one-sheet version for the third part.
