Four official posters were printed for the 1948 Winter Olympics at St. Moritz. The sun was the theme of two. In Weiskönig's design, the solar face looks benevolent and—contrary to most mythology—not especially male. The Swiss National Board of Tourism found the image so agreeable that they used it simply as a general travel poster as well (see PAI-XXVII, 139).
