In this variant of the well-known Bosch ignition systems poster featuring a Mephistian caricature of Belgian race car driver Camille Jenatzy, the ignition is switched for an airplane magneto engine, while the devilish image remains the same with no regard being paid to the slight difference between cars and airplanes. The technology represented is from the World War I era; interestingly, most of the piston engine aircraft operating today still use dual magnetos, even though a single one will operate the engine at approximately 85% efficiency.
