Still in operation today, Rowntree is an English confectionary brand founded in the early 1860s. This fabulous Beggarstaff design gives a visual nod to the company's Quaker roots in promotion of its superior chocolate products. Less than a decade earlier, Rowntree had purchased a press from the Van Houten chocolate company, allowing them to expand from a small family-run business into a major player in the market. Today, they are best known as the inventors of the Kit Kat bar, Smarties, and Aero chocolate. This is a metal sign of the poster.
