Richard Klein is a Connecticut-based artist, curator, and writer. His works have been shown extensively in the United States as well as abroad at institutions such as Neuberger Museum of Art at SUNY Purchase, the John Michael Kohler Arts Center, Sheboygan, WI, Hales Gallery, London, deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum, Lincoln, MA, The Portland Institute of Contemporary Art, Portland, OR, Schoolhouse Gallery, Provincetown, MA, Katonah Museum of Art, Katonah, NY, and the Brattleboro Museum & Art Center, Brattleboro, VT. He has also been critically reviewed for numerous publications including Two Coats of Paint, Whitehot Magazine, The New York Times, Sculpture Magazine, Art in America, and The New Yorker. From 1999 to 2022 Klein held the position of Exhibitions Director of The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum in Ridgefield, CT where he organized over 100 exhibitions, including solo shows of the work of Sol LeWitt, Mark Dion, Roy Lichtenstein, Hank Willis Thomas, and Elana Herzog.
