Palisades Park
Palisades Park
It started out in 1898 as a New Jersey picnic grove designed by a local trolley car company to increase weekend ridership. Palisades Park grew to become one of the world's most famous fun centers, a carnival wonderland unlike any other which instilled a life's worth of magical memories to anyone fortunate enough to have passed through her gates. A trip to the park was not a mere excursion—it was a wildly anticipated event. High atop the Palisade cliffs, the attractions, which at its naissance were comprised of humble benches, tables, and concession stands, exploded to include the Cyclone roller coaster, the Tunnel of Love, the world's largest saltwater wave pool, a carousel, various rides, and a Wild West show.
