"The most beautiful women in the world"—that's "The Summer in Monte-Carlo." With an image like this, we dare not disagree. Domergue made his home in Monte-Carlo and the Côte d'Azur, where he found much inspiration for subjects like these, who he illustrated with deft sensuality and infused with the styles of Modigliani and Ingres for good measure.
