“Wavering between calling this water slide a ‘nautical roller coaster’ with a Russian flavor and ‘the chutes of Niagara,’ the amusement park played it safe by giving the amusement both appellations. Three young girls, out on their own but not quite plucky enough to try it, wave a boatload of daredevil friends back to shore” (Gold, p. 88). It's one of the artist’s most charming designs.
